Start With The Basics We Need To Price Your Job

Book and magazine quotes can start from a brief that is still taking shape, so send what you have. For books and magazines, the main figures are size, page count, quantity, paper stock, binding style and whether you need colour throughout or a mix of colour and black pages.

If you are not sure about every item, send the parts you know and we will help fill the gaps. That is often the best way to avoid delays later, especially when a title must meet a launch date, trade show handover or monthly distribution run.

  • Trim size in millimetres or A4, A5, custom sizes
  • Total page count including cover
  • Quantity needed per title
  • Paper type and weight if already chosen
  • Preferred binding and finishing

How To Send A Quote Request Through Our Contact Form

Use the enquiry form on our contact page and attach any artwork files, mock-ups or spec sheets you already have. If the files are still in progress, send what is available and note the missing items so we can quote on the current information.

Our production team reviews each request before pricing. That helps us check for practical issues such as page count against binding type, heavy coverage that may affect drying time, or finishes that need extra turnaround. In Johannesburg, that sort of checking saves last-minute problems when transport, weather or load-shedding can affect schedules.

  • Upload artwork or a simple brief
  • Add your target delivery date
  • Tell us where the stock must go
  • Note if you need one off samples or a full print run
  • Include any municipal or school term deadlines if relevant

Choose The Print Method That Suits Your Run

We offer offset printing for book and magazine work that needs strong consistency, fine detail and reliable colour over larger volumes. For certain packaging or repeat runs, flexo printing is a good option where the job specs call for it. If you are unsure which process suits your title, tell us the paper, finish and quantity and we will advise on the most practical route.

Short runs, launch copies and reprints do not always need the same setup as a large national distribution batch. A school publisher in Pretoria, a business in Sandton or a distributor in Roodepoort may all need different timing and unit pricing. We quote according to the job, not a fixed template.

Tell Us Which Finishes You Need Before We Price It

Finishing has a direct effect on both appearance and cost, so it is worth listing it early. We can quote for saddle stitching, perfect binding, case binding, section sewing, cover lamination, foil finishing, die cutting, packing and dispatch. If your publication needs a stronger spine for repeated handling, or a coated cover for humidity near the coast, say so in the brief.

Common combinations include glossy or matt laminate on the cover, then binding matched to the page count and intended use. A magazine for monthly circulation may need a simpler finish than a hardback annual report or a reference title for long shelf life.

What Happens After You Send The Request

Once we receive your quote request, we check the brief, confirm production requirements and come back with pricing and lead time. If something in the file needs attention, we will flag it before the job moves forward so there are no surprises at press stage.

For larger or more technical projects, we may ask a few follow-up questions on colour targets, page imposition, binding strength or dispatch order. That is normal and it helps keep the schedule realistic. We would rather confirm the detail now than fix a problem after plates or finishing have already been planned.

  • Quote review and production check
  • Any questions on artwork or structure
  • Pricing and turnaround confirmed
  • Job booked for print and finishing

Delivery Across Johannesburg And Nationwide

Our base in Industria, Johannesburg places us well for local collections and dispatch into Johannesburg Central, Sandton, Randburg, Roodepoort, Midrand, Pretoria and the East Rand. We also deliver to publishers and businesses nationwide, whether the order is going to a warehouse, retail hub or direct to a client site.

If your print run must move in stages, mention that in the form. We can plan packing and dispatch around the receiving point, access rules and timing. That matters for busy buildings, gated sites and projects where stock needs to arrive in the right order, not all at once.

Questions we get asked

What details should I include for a book printing quote?

Send size, page count, quantity, paper choice, binding type, cover finish and your target delivery date. If you do not have all of it, send what you know and we will help from there.

Can I request a quote before my artwork is final?

Yes. We can work from a draft brief and give early pricing guidance. Final pricing may be adjusted if the page count, colours or finishing changes.

Do you deliver outside Johannesburg?

Yes. We deliver to publishers and businesses nationwide, with planning for local collection or dispatch from our Johannesburg base in Industria.
