Start with the right job details

The quickest way to get useful help is to send the basics upfront. Tell us what you are printing, the finished size, page count, paper or board preference if known, and how many copies you need. If you are comparing perfect binding, saddle stitching or case binding, we can explain the differences in plain terms and flag what suits your run best.

  • Publication type and purpose
  • Trim size and page count
  • Quantity required
  • Preferred binding and finishing
  • Delivery town and target date

For publishers in Johannesburg, Pretoria, the East Rand or further afield, having these details ready saves time and helps us quote accurately the first time.

Prepress help that catches problems early

Most print delays come from artwork issues that can be sorted before plates are made. Our prepress checks cover image resolution, bleed, page order, colour setup and page imposition. If a file is not print ready, we will point out the problem areas so you can correct them before production starts. That matters when you are working to a launch date or a monthly issue schedule.

We also help clients understand how trim marks, fold positions and spine width affect the final piece. It is better to adjust a cover now than to discover a mismatch after printing, especially on longer runs where rework becomes costly.

Colour proofing and approval support

Colour can shift between screen and print, and that is normal. Our colour proofing support helps you see how the job will print before the full run begins. This is useful for magazines, catalogues and branded publications where consistent colour across issues matters. If you need to match previous editions, we can help you review a proof and compare it with your last approved sample.

  • Check the proof against your artwork notes
  • Confirm logos, skin tones and solid areas
  • Approve only once all text and images are correct
  • Allow time for revisions if needed

We work carefully with clients in Sandton, Midrand and Randburg who need dependable colour on every issue.

Binding and finishing advice for each project

Binding should suit the page count, use and budget of the publication. Saddle stitching works well for slimmer magazines and brochures, while perfect binding gives a neat square spine for thicker books. Case binding is the stronger choice for hard cover work, and section sewing adds durability for books that must last. We also guide clients on cover lamination, foil finishing and die cutting where a stronger presentation is needed.

If you are unsure, ask us to review the job spec before print starts. A small change in page count or paper weight can affect the best binding method and the final price, so it is worth checking early.

Packing, dispatch and delivery planning

Once the print run is complete, the last step is getting the stock where it needs to go in good condition. Our packing and dispatch support helps publishers plan carton counts, palletising and delivery timing. This is especially important for national distribution, where books may need to move to multiple destinations at once. We handle delivery planning from Industria and coordinate with clients heading into Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein and smaller towns too.

  • Confirm delivery addresses before dispatch
  • Plan around receiving hours and site access
  • Allow extra time for remote routes and peak periods
  • Keep stock protected from damp, dust and rough handling

For coastal deliveries, we also take note of humidity and packaging needs so cartons arrive in better condition.

Who you will be speaking to

Our support is handled by people who know the print process from start to finish. Busisiwe Motaung oversees production, Johan van der Merwe checks prepress detail, Siyanda Ramaboa leads client services, Farieda Adams coordinates bindery work, Siphamandla Ngwenya runs press-side operations, and Leanne Naidoo plans logistics. Oupa Hlungwani heads the business from Johannesburg. That means your query reaches someone who understands the real steps, not just the order number.

Whether you are a first-time author or a busy publisher managing several titles, you will get practical help from a team that deals with print jobs every day.
