Books, magazines and print finishes that suit the job
We print publications that need to look right in the hand and hold up in use. Whether you are producing a short-run title, a regular magazine, a catalogue or a bound company publication, we match the print method and finishing to the paper, page count and budget. Offset printing suits larger runs where colour consistency matters across every copy. Flexo printing is used where the format and volume call for efficient production without sacrificing clean output.
Our finishing team handles the details that give a publication its final shape. That means the spine stays square, covers sit neatly, and pages open as they should. If you need a simple stitched magazine or a heavy book that must last on a shelf, we plan the binding to suit the purpose rather than forcing one method onto every job. That practical approach suits publishers and business clients who need binding that fits the job.
- Offset printing for books, magazines and catalogues
- Flexo printing for suitable print runs and formats
- Saddle stitching for lighter publications and brochures
- Perfect binding for paperback books and thicker magazines
- Case binding for hard covers and longer-life books
Who we serve across publishing, business and trade print
Printing House works with publishers, independent authors, marketing teams, schools and organisations that need print done properly. Some clients come to us with a finished manuscript and a clear idea of the final trim size. Others need help checking artwork, setting up the files and choosing the right bind. We are used to handling both straightforward reprints and jobs with a few moving parts.
For publishers, the main focus is consistency across editions, reliable colour and dependable dispatch dates. For businesses, it is often about presenting reports, training manuals, internal publications and branded magazines in a way that reflects the company well. Authors usually want a clean finish, sensible advice and a print partner that does not overcomplicate the process. That is where our team adds value, because we work through the job step by step and keep the communication direct.
- Publishers needing regular print runs and binding support
- Authors producing novels, memoirs and specialist titles
- Businesses printing magazines, catalogues and reports
- Schools, associations and groups needing formal publications
- Clients across South Africa who need delivery from Johannesburg
How we handle prepress, colour and binding from start to finish
Good print starts before the press runs. Johan van der Merwe leads prepress checks, making sure artwork, bleed, page order and file setup are correct before production begins. That is where many problems are caught early, which saves time and avoids waste. Colour proofing follows where needed, so you can review how the job is likely to reproduce before the main run gets under way.
Once production starts, Busisiwe Motaung coordinates the job flow and keeps the schedule moving between print and finishing. Siphamandla Ngwenya oversees press work, while Farieda Adams manages the bindery side, including section sewing, case binding and glue binding where the spec calls for it. Our finishing options also include cover lamination, foil finishing and die cutting. Packing and dispatch are handled with care so books and magazines leave Industria clean, counted and ready for delivery. On busy weeks, that coordination matters, especially when multiple titles are moving at once and a client needs one batch sent to Gauteng and another headed to the coast.
- Prepress checks for layout, pages, image quality and trim
- Colour proofing for jobs where accuracy matters
- Section sewing for stronger book construction
- Cover lamination for protection and better handling
- Foil finishing and die cutting for special presentation work
